Dear Colleagues;
Whether you work for a small to mid-size biotech company, or a large biotech or Pharma company, the challenging economic times have lead to a critical review of all clinical development programs. It has driven companies to critically assess their core competencies and determine their need for outsourcing. Program priorities are being reviewed and decisions to delay or cancel studies are being made. We are challenged to be more creative in our study designs to reduce the number of studies or number of study patients, while still providing robust data so we can be cost effective and make go/no go decisions earlier. Against this backdrop we need to find innovative ways to complete our studies faster…. not only small regional trials, but also large global pivotal trials.
