Legal Coordinator

Reporting directly to the President, the Legal Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the protecting the legal interest of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Law or JD Degree

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical ability

  • Able to multi-task efficiently and must have a team oriented, can-do attitude

  • Prior experience with conference company desirable

Key Position Accountabilities are:

• Create, manage and maintain our contract data base
• Draft and issue contracts for execution: sponsorship contracts, venue contracts, sales contracts and marketing partnership contracts
• Research legal issues pertaining to producing conferences in other jurisdictions, ex: Canada, Europe.
• Legal correspondence
• Maintain and update corporate minute-books
• Negotiate legal work beyond the scope of daily operation with other law firms
• Produce legal based biotechnology conferences


Conference Producers

The Challenge:

You plan and execute cutting-edge educational and networking events for the biotech and pharmaceutical communities from beginning to end.  This includes conducting preliminary research, inviting internationally renowned speakers, and writing scientific/technical copy in layman’s terms for printed programs/agenda/CD’s.  Also design event brochures/ads/banners/CDs and conduct marketing campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing team. Mingle with the speakers and attendees, liaison between vendors, and work with Hotels/Conference Centers. Positions available at different levels.

What we’re looking for:

We need someone who is self-motivated and has the ability to travel (20%) and manage all aspects of the events production to ensure goals are met on time.  You will have a quick grasp of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry as well as a strong research and analysis background.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years exp in a conference production or event planning

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical ability

  • Ability to thrive in a high pace, deadline oriented environment

  • Able to multi-task efficiently and must have a team oriented, can-do attitude

  • Exp with MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator


Executive Conference Producer

The Executive Conference Producer oversees research, development and production of cutting-edge educational and networking events for biotech and pharmaceutical community. Working closely with a team of, internal and external Marketing, Exhibits/Sponsorship, Logistics, Customer Service, Public Relations and Contracts experts, the Executive Producer will be responsible for creating and implementing successful meetings for assigned segments and audiences. The Executive Producer creates the agenda, invites high level speakers, writes program copy, works with team members such as Marketing on the design of the event brochures and marketing campaigns, Exhibits and Sponsorship Sales to put together and implement an effective strategy, Logistics to implement a successful event, etc. The Executive Producer manages all aspects of the event(s) to insure that goals are met.

Candidate Qualification:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in conference production with extensive understanding of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry.  They have the ability to harness the talents of their team effectively, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, work under constant pressure and meet deadlines.  This person will demonstrate a strong research/analysis capability, include a knack for business trends and issues, and  possess an entrepreneurial and creative drive. Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills are required.


Marketing Manager

The Conference
Marketing Manager carries out marketing campaigns for ongoing conference programs across multiple markets. You will be responsible for creating marketing plans that reinforce program features while working with Conference Producers to distribute key marketing pieces. The Marketing Manager also oversees the brochure production process and helps ensure that the design and distribution reach our targeted demographics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years of event marketing experience

  • Ability to thrive in a high pace, deadline oriented environment

  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and work well with vendors

  • Strong numerical and analytical ability

  • Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

 


 Business Development Manager

Do you get excited at the thought of a new challenge?  Are you looking for an exciting new Business Development opportunity with serious growth potential?  GTCbio is currently looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager.  Come join us and learn about the biotech and pharmaceutical industries while interacting with executives nationwide!

The Challenge:

The Business Development Manager is focused on selling sponsorship and exhibit opportunities to those companies who provide products or services to the Bio/Pharmaceutical Industries. As an essential member of the team, you will work closely with producers and marketing to exploit sponsorship opportunities and identify opportunities to maximize the sales potential for each event. You will qualify new leads and close new as well as existing clients.

What we’re looking for:

Working on both annual and new programs, the business development manager is responsible for forming relationships with senior marketing executives to deliver our products and services. You will provide guidance and advice on sales strategy as necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, and be driven to make a contribution toward successful events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum of 2-5 years work experience, preferably within B2B sales  

  • Prior conference or event sponsorship sales experience is a plus, but not required.  

  • Must be willing to travel 30-50% of the time

  • Lead generation and ability to create a new business account base

  • Prior experience developing and managing accounts

  • Experience with MS Office

  • Resourceful and team oriented

  • Ability to multi-task
